As the density of escape-rooms is worldwide at an all-time high, distinguishing your entertainment experience is key to survive now more than ever. One way to segregate your game is the addition of actors that can provide a touch of human interaction that no artificial created challenge can match. But how do you implement an actor in your experience? Where do you find the right people for the job? And what can you expect working with actors? All these questions and a whole lot more will be answered in our talk using gathered information from multiple sources that work with actors in their experiences.
About Raymond & Jeroen
Raymond is co-founder of Gloeidraad, one the largest real-life game & escape-room production, business and design companies in western Europe. Having studied Interaction Design, he started contriving interactive experiences with his company Gloeidraad, before settling on the creation of distinctive puzzles and special effects for escape-rooms seven years ago. Now with more than 60 experiences in his portfolio, he has steered his company into a production studio that delivers turnkey innovative immersive real-life games for clients and partners.
Jeroen is a multiple award-winning game designer, who graduated with honors in Game Design and a specialization in horror. With 6+ years of experience in the video game industry, he has worked on million-dollar projects, invited to showcase them all around the world, before returning to the Netherlands shy over a year ago. Together with Raymond, they sought out new horizons for them to pioneer, resulting in their tremendous successful pilot ‘Red Eye Case: I Can Hear You’; a real-life horror game in the abandoned hospital of small-town Maaseik, which has been completely sold out the whole year of 2018.
