Play and do good – Showcasing socially conscious Escape Gaming
by Donna Wandt, Ayischa Schmidt and Shaun Shrubsall
Join the newly founded Hamburg based not-for-profit organisation ‘Spielen hilft’ (Play helps) and delve into the team’s activities for good, featuring <DAS SYSTEM>, a socially conscious escape game modelled after TimeTrap Escape Rooms’ widely acclaimed ‘The Divide’. One space, two worlds: Experience how divided our society is in reality, and help create understanding of the causes of homelessness and an awareness for its remedies.
This showcase kicks off the Europe-wide campaign for good. Learn about its origins during Katie Falcon-Uff and Andre Ingle’s talk Wednesday 10.45-11.30 and experience it live by booking your slot to play. Registration details to follow. Or, if you like, stop by to just have a chat.
About Spielen hilft
Donna has been promoting collaboration and joint projects among providers, establishing Hamburg as the Escape Game Capital of Germany. The especially created ‘Escape Game Week’ initiative is operating now in its fourth year and has successfully run back-to-back escape championships. Ayischa and Shaun operate TIXS- Countdown Games in Wiesbaden emphasising team building events for businesses.
Together, they make ‘Spielen hilft’ and apply gamification in support of real life social causes by local charities. <DAS SYSTEM> is a first of their many projects and is currently on tour around Germany.
